Dartford Women did the club and town proud after a brilliant comeback against London Bees in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup on Sunday.
At 2-0 down, the side kept battling hard and got their reward by scoring two themselves in the second half and taking the game to extra time.
Momentum was quickly swinging both ways in this fierce and passionate affair, with London Bees scoring again to make it 3-2.
But even then, the team kept pushing to get the equaliser – with keeper Jade Charlton coming up for a corner in the dying seconds.
She rose higher than everyone else, got a great connection on the ball, but her header went agonisingly wide.
What a brilliant performance in front of another record crowd of 420. Well done girls, we are all proud of the amazing run you have been on. A truly great advert for the women’s match and what the team is all about.
Match report to follow shortly.
