Darts Women Through To Next Round Of FA Cup After Emphatic Win Over AFC Greenwich Borough Women!

Match Report: Adobe Women’s FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round, played on Sunday, 21st September, 2025.

Darts Women were back on home soil as they welcomed AFC Greenwich Borough to Princes Park in the 2nd Qualifying Round of the FA Cup. It’s a competition that has been good to the Darts in recent years, and they headed into the match looking for more of the same.

The home side began the game on the front foot and got the early lead. In the 7th minute, Darts forward Mya Lewis-Powell fired home from close range to put the Darts ahead early in the tie.

Darts continued to dominate the early exchanges and doubled the advantage six minutes later. In the 13th minute, Darts midfielder Rochelle Mayne fired an effort goal-bound from the edge of the box that rifled into the top corner. A first goal for the Darts midfielder since her summer arrival from London Seaward. The visitors got back into the cup tie with their first clear cut chance on goal. In the 19th minute, former Darts forward Molly Hawkins fired home past Darts keeper Jade Charlton into the far corner to get a goal back for Borough.

Darts reacted well to conceding and regained control of the cup tie four minutes before the break. In the 41st minute, Abbey Davies put through a fine ball to put Leen Ekwo through on goal. The Darts forward held off defender Fran Bienz and fired the ball beyond keeper Emilie Evans to restore the two-goal cushion.

Darts sealed their place in the next round in added time of the first half. In the third minute of additional time, Darts defender Abbey Davies put Amina Hanif through on goal. The Darts forward cut in from the left and found the far corner to seal the Darts a place in the next round.

The home side continued to control the game in the second period and nearly added to their tally midway through the half. In the 70th minute, great work down the left from Amina Hanif, saw a cross find Mya Lewis-Powell in the box. The Darts forward couldn’t quite connect with the cross and the shot went just wide of the goal.

Darts continued to create the best of the chances and went close again in added time. Efforts from Darts forwards Shauni Griffiths and Paris Smith, forced a fine double save from keeper Emilie Evans.

FT Dartford FC 4-1 AFC Greenwich Borough Women.

A dominant performance from the Darts sees them through to the next round of the cup. A big shout out to all the fans for the support today. We will see you all next week back at Princes Park against Saltdean United.
