The wait is over! DFC is delighted to reveal its 25/26 away kit today – that takes inspiration from the not-so-distant past.

The kit design was loosely modelled on an alternative strip from the 95-96 season – a year that saw the Club promoted from Kent Div One to Southern Division One South under the expert guidance of manager Tony Burman, after a tumultuous period in the Club’s history. The shirt was also in use the season after.

To help us celebrate the new launch, the Club brought back two players from those memorable seasons – Dean Bowey and Ricky Bennett – who wore two of the original shirts and modelled the new kits, alongside fan favourites Olly Box and Michael Olarewaju.

The new away shirt displays the logos of new sponsors Target on the front, Fox Estates on the back, Downton & Ali on the sleeves and Molson Coors on the shorts.

DFC recently agreed a two-year deal with the world’s leading darts manufacturer Target Darts, that sees them sponsor the front of both the home and away shirts of the men’s team, the front of the women’s away shirt and the women’s tracksuits.

DFC Chairman Steve Irving said: “We are rightly proud of our history and heritage at Dartford Football Club, which has been in existence for more than 130 years. The 95-96 season was a bright light during a difficult period that saw supporters fight tooth and nail to keep the Club from going under.

“A massive thank-you to Dean and Ricky for joining us for the photoshoot for the away shirt reveal.

“We hope the new shirt and the colours brings us a similar success story this season, as Ady and the Club looks to keep building for the future.”

The new away kits will be available from the club shop and online from Saturday at noon.

It will make its debut tonight in the pre-season friendly against Faversham Town.
