A brilliant end to the season saw both DFC Academy sides win silverware in the Kent Academy Cup last weekend.
DFC Whites were in a group with Chatham and Ebbsfleet, winning their group games 6-3 and 7-0 respectively. Soccer Elite were pitched against Charlton and Welling in the other group, ending up top, to play DFC Whites in the final.
The Darts team went on to win 3-0 in the final to take the Tier One cup. Goals from Jez Pinder, Richie Atkins and Joe Kpaka did the damage in a dominant display.
DFC Reds beat Charlton 4-2 and Maidstone 2-1, to win their group of the Tier Two cup, going on to play Whitstable in the final. The Darts’ second squad won 4-2 in the Tier Two final.
Darts Academy Manager Ben Greenhalgh said: “It was a great way to finish the season. Both teams played some great football and did the Club proud!”
A massive congratulations from all at DFC to all involved!
