Barely had the 1,525 supporters gotten comfortable, when Ruben Shakpoke found too much space on the Wings’ left-flank and fired a low drive in off the far post to give the visitors an early lead (3).
John Ufuah then saw his strike well saved by Jonny Henly (18), after the hosts were caught out at the back following a good period of possession.
Luke O’Neill cleared George Whitefield’s effort off the line (28), before the Dartford number six was at it again when his curling drive rattled Damien Niemczycki’s crossbar (38). The new Welling goalkeeper then pulled off an excellent save to thwart Eddie Dsane on the stroke of half-time.
Ady Pennock’s side burst out of the blocks at the start of the second forty-five, and the visitors just couldn’t cope with the waves of attack.
Eddie Dsane levelled the score with a neat finish, following excellent work by Olly Box three minutes after the restart.
The Dartford striker then turned the game around with a lovely low drive two minutes later, after receiving a Samir Carruthers pass (50).
Rod Stringer was the first of the managers to make a change to his personnel, as he replaced Luke O’Neill with Jonah Walker (52). The Wings’ Interim boss would go on to swap John Ufuah with Harry Clout (64), Jack Paxman with Femi Akinwande (80), and former Dart Luke Allen with Christian Scott (85).
Meanwhile, Ady Pennock only used one of his available substitutes this afternoon, which was Dan Carter who came on to replace Samir Carruthers after 70 minutes.
As we return to the action, the visitors tried to get themselves back into the game but came up against a solid backline of Samuel Okoye, Joe Tennent, George Whitefield, and Michael Olarewaju.
In fact, it was the Dartford Skipper who was on hand to calmly clear Lekan Majoyegbe’s effort off the line in the 72nd minute, before Callum Jones fired narrowly wide following Jonny Henly’s long punt at the other end (76).
Any hope of a Welling comeback were swiftly extinguished, when Olly Box sent a beautiful curling strike beyond Niemczycki and into the top corner (79).
Callum Jones’ acrobatic effort forced Niemczycki into a good save (84), before both Samuel Okoye (86) and Dan Carter (88) came close to adding to the scoreline, as the Darts secured a fourth straight victory.
Eddie Dsane’s exploits earned him a well-deserved Man of The Match award, as Dartford finished the day in the top four of the Isthmian Premier League table.
