The hosts played well in this replay, despite a few suspensions and injuries leaving Ady Pennock having to select a make-shift back four instead of his more favoured five. However, they just couldn’t convert the chances created on a frustrating night in front of 619 supporters.

Olly Box forced a save out of goalkeeper Michael Eacott as early as the third minute, after Samir Carruthers had been fouled, before Eddie Dsane fired over the crossbar (7).

Carruthers then saw his effort deflected behind, before Dsane failed to test Eacott with a follow-up strike from the corner (17).

The visitors created their first opportunity after 28 minutes, whereby Francis Amartey forced a fine save out of Jonny Henly.

The Darts responded via an excellent Olly Box run, until he was floored by a Bracknell player… which wasn’t the first or last time that Olly and some of his teammates would be fouled tonight. Yet the referee, Mr Callum Parke, would have a poor game which certainly didn’t help the host’s cause.

The Dartford youngster was at it again a few minutes later, when his lovely run and strike was blocked by the Bracknell defence (36), before Sam Magri was finally booked for yet another late challenge on a Dartford player (39)!

Yet despite all their efforts, the hosts found themselves a goal down against the run of play when Teddy Tarbotton was given too much space to fire a low drive beyond Henly and into the bottom corner (42).

Dartford started the second forty-five on the front-foot, with Eddie Dsane forcing Michael Eacott into a save (47), before Olly Box’s curling effort flew narrowly over the crossbar a minute later.

Box saw another effort cleared by the Robins’ defence (52], before the Darts’ defence failed to deal with Francis Amartey’s run which enabled the Bracknell player to tee up Joe Grant, who wasn’t going to miss (54).

Ady Pennock responded by swapping Ikechi Eze with Jeremiah Pinder (57), before going on to bring on Hugo Taylor for Sam Odaudu (73), Albie O’Mara-Knapp for Samir Carruthers (85), and Richie Atkins for Callum Jones (90).

As we return to the action, we find the hosts trying to get back into the game, but only able to force a handful of corners before Eddie Dsane struck the upright with a fierce strike in the 77th minute.

With fouls raining in left, right, and centre, it wasn’t a surprise to see tempers boil over on the far side of the pitch after yet another horrible challenge on Olly Box. Mr Parke had virtually lost control at this point, as he booked several players throughout the second-half. More worrying for the Darts however, was seeing Sam Odaudu and Samir Carruthers limping off after lengthy spells of treatment, while Box continued to be on the receiving end of some questionable challenges.

The Dartford youngster came agonisingly close to pulling a goal back in the 89th minute, only to see his effort hit the side netting as the visitors closed ranks at the back.

Box hit the side netting once again (90+3), before Jeremiah Pinder fired wide (90+4), as the Darts exited the FA Cup.
