As the rain continued to fall, Ady Pennock’s side started the game well with Sam Odaudu proving to be a menacing character on the left-flank. Unfortunately, the two dangerous balls that he crossed into the Bracknell Town box were just out of reach of any of his teammates though.
Sadly for Dartford, Dan Smith picked up an injury after just fifteen minutes and was unable to continue. Olly Box was the player to come on just as the game swung in favour of the hosts.
Jordan Ive’s outfit hit the visitors with a quick double courtesy of Joe Grant, who gave the Southern League Premier South side a deserved two-goal advantage at the break.
His first was a tap-in from close-range following good work by former-Dart Alfie Pavey and Francis Amartey (16), while his second was a neat strike into the bottom corner four minutes later.
The lively Amartey came close with an audacious effort in-between Grant’s goals, which flew narrowly over Jonny Henly’s crossbar, as the Robins threatened to overwhelm their opponents.
However the second-half was an entirely different affair, as Ady Pennock’s side dominated the ball in search of a way back into the game.
They came close with two good opportunities within ten minutes, when Robins’ goalkeeper Michael Eacott saved well from a Jeremiah Pinder free-kick and Olly Box strike, before the Dartford number eleven missed a glorious opportunity just after the hour.
Ady Pennock introduced Samir Carruthers for Jeremiah Pinder after 65 minutes, and would go on to swap Luther Williams with Ikechi Eze (80) as his side looked for a way back into the game.
As we return to the action, Michael Eacott saved well from Callum Jones (68), as Dartford kept driving forward to pin the Robins back deep in their own half.
Still the visitors kept coming and, when Denzelle Olopade’s close-range effort went in with four minutes left to play, the Bracknell Town defence began to panic at times.
Consequently, a late challenge inside the box offered the Darts an opportunity from the penalty spot. And, up stepped Eddie Dsane to fire in the equaliser to ensure that Dartford earned a deserved replay, which will take place on Tuesday night
