Darts Women Score Four to See off Ashford Town!

London and South East Regional Women Premier League, played on Sunday, 31st August, 2025.

Darts Women headed to the Robert Parker Stadium, home of Ashford Town, full of confidence after enjoying a perfect start to the league campaign.

Darts began the game on the front foot and went ahead early in the first half. In the 12th minute, a mix up in the Ashford box saw the ball fall to Lizzie Adams in the box. The Darts midfielder kept a cool head to fire home from close range.

The visitors continued to apply the pressure and doubled the advantage before the break. In the 32nd minute, a fine solo effort from Leen Ekwo saw the Darts forward fire home with a fine finish to score the second goal of the afternoon for the Darts.

The home side began to grow into the game as the second half began and got a goal back midway through the second half. In the 69th minute, Ashford got in behind the Darts defence and Ashford’s Charlotte Close poked the ball beyond Darts keeper, Jade Charlton, to get one goal back for the hosts.

The response from the visitors was instant and the Darts were awarded a penalty in the 71st minute, after Leila Awan was fouled in the box. Darts defender, Abbey Davies stepped up and slotted the ball past Ashford’s keeper to restore the two goal lead.

We continued to create the chances in the latter stages of the game and scored goal number four in added time. In the 92nd minute, a fine run from Darts defender, Aislyn Kelly created space and a cross from the right found Leila Awan in the box. The Darts midfielder fired home from close range to make it a perfect afternoon for the Darts!
