An amazing finale saw Dartford Whites take all three points at home to table-topping Eastleigh last week.
A strong start saw Darts dominate early proceedings with some good football and chances created for Ashdon Day and Thomas Mitcham.
With Jeremiah Pinder taking time out from first team duties to turn out for the Academy helping to pull the strings in midfield, the team looked bright, confident and kept the ball well.
However, a lapse in concentration led to the team coming in 1-0 down at half-time.
The team came out of the blocks quickly in the second half, creating a number of chances. However, the second goal came from the opposition, leaving The Whites with it all to do.
The team rallied to score a well-worked goal through Joe Kpaka, before Eastleigh replied with another one of their own.
With 15 minutes to go and 3-1 down, the team powered on, with an incredible turnaround seeing them score four quick goals and Joe Kpaka, Abie Omara-Knapp and Ashdon Day among the scorers.
Academy Manager Ben Greenhalgh said: “It was a great game. We are coming to crunch-time, a little, with players playing for their places in the first team or for next year, so we have raised our levels.
“We came out in the second half flying. Iit must have been an entertaining game for the loyal supporters who came to watch.
“It’s been a tough season, with many Academy players getting first team chances, but that’s why it’s so successful.
“We have struggled defensively this year because a lot of our defenders are either up in the first team or had a number of ankle injuries. We’ve missed Dean Naylor who has been our leader at the back.
“At the moment, the best thing is we are creating so many chances and playing good football, but the difference this time was that we scored five goals, whereas in other games we might only have scored one or two.”
